there is love that never dies, there is peace in troubled times, when we help them understand Jesus is hope for every man! :]
after this i'm going to ask my dad if i can go running. :)
Psa 119:32
I run along the path of your commands, for you enable me to do so.
or: I'll run the course you lay out for me if you'll just show me how.
Pro 18:10
The name of the Lord is like a strong tower; the
righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.
or: God's name is a place of protection--
good people can run there and be safe.
I like both of these because one is telling about how it's good to
continue on the path of God because He gives us understanding,
and "enlarges our hearts". And i put it in quotes cause i don't
really know what that means so i also cut & pasted the easy
understanding version. If that's what you want to call it. :) haha.
The second verse is telling how God is our refuge and he will be
there to protect us. If we remain good and doing what is right and
staying on that path then we can be protected and do his will. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Normally i like to rephrase the bible and tell what it means to me,
because learning is about understanding and interpreting the word
to use it later in life and other stuff like that! I take it a verse or so
at a time because there's so much you can learn from just one verse.
:)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you so much for this glorious sunday! I am kindof sorry I
didn't go to church for the family advent thingg or youth group.
But I will promise to go to kaleidascope[and i know chris or mellie
will hold me to it if they reads this!] haha. Lord, I need to learn
more from and about you. :) Thanks for listening or reading, and
please help the poor, the sick, the hungry, and all of those in need
of your help.
In your most precious name we pray,
Amen. :)
& please let my dad let me go running.
haha, i need to get better at it. maybe i'll
get an adrenalyne rush and learn how to
control my breathing. :) hahaha.
I love you Lord!
And thanks to anyone who's reading! :)

I LOVE JEBUS(: part 2
lately so i just searched "work" in bible.org
so i can have an encouraging verse to think
about and refer back to.
Jam 2:18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” 1
Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by 2 my
works. http://net.bible.org/search.php?search=work&mode=&scope
kindof confusing but i've heard this before.
some people just work and help out at church.
but without some faith in that maybe helping
the kids in church because God has called you
to do so, or doing because you want to show
people to Christ. And not just working and working
to "look good in God's eyes."
I've heard Catholics believe in faith by works.
But i think that most of them tend to just work
to "look good in God's eyes". You also have to
have a good relationship with him. :)
Kindof like the story of Mary & Mary Magdeline.
I don't know it too well, but one is working and the
other is talking with Jesus and learning from the
stuff he has to say. :)
Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Please help us to have a relationship with you so we can
have a calling to show us our faith through works also.
Help us to be more like you. :) Thank you for everything
you have done and given to me.
Love, Elissa. :) & Amen. <333

prayer!
Dear Lord,
I thank you for this wonderful morning that i can
hang out with my friends, and help around the house.
Please watch over my grandma, I don't like how she
just watches tv and stuff- too bad her eyesight isn't
good so she can read! But i guess that's an obstacle you
put there so my sisters and i can accompany her more.
Please strengthen me to talk to her more so she won't
feel alone. Thank you for everything you have given me.
In your most precious name we pray.
Amen.
:)
wonderful morning(:
and i get to go to the movies today;;
so i thank God for a new day everyday.
:)
bible verse- chris suggested i look in proverbs
and i agree as seeing the verse from hebrews
the other day was related to proverbs. :)
PROVERBS 19:12:
The king’s wrath is like the loud cry of a lion,
but his approval is like dew on the grass.
http://net.bible.org/verse.php?search=proverbs%2019:12&book=proverbs&chapter=19&verse=12
3 sn The proverb makes an observation about a king’s power to
terrify or to refresh. It advises people to use tact with a king.
this one is toughhh, but with an authority their punishment can
be hard but if you approach them with understanding and kindness
they can be nice too.
i guess this can relate to later on today, i'm going to be cleaning
carpets so our house doesn't look so bad for tomorrow. And if i am
not calm and do what i am told, everything will go bad. So God is
speaking to me buy telling me how i need to act and watch how i behave
today around my dad. :)
this verse i just randomly put in the 19:12 part. :D
which is cool how this verse suits me for today. :)
because i can't say i used this one because i already
knew it would pertain to me today... because i don't
know the bible back & forth. i only know like 2 verses.
haha. well i have to go. :)

turns out i can start my devotional today...
i rarely read the bible-- except at church so this website will encourage me to read the bible.
i would really like a teen bible so i can understand what i'm reading. haha. but here it goes:
Hebrews 12:13
and make straight paths for your feet, 18 so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be healed.
- 18. A quotation from Prov 4:26. The phrase make straight paths for your feet is figurative for “stay on God’s paths.”
well, since my youth director left church hasn't been the same.
and i realize it's not all about the people in the church that make God interesting. God is interesting, and amazing.
I just need to focus more on him, somehow i stumbled across this verse. Luckily i did, because God wants to redirect me so i will
be "healed" as the verse says. My friend Chris puts a lot of verses on his blog but i find it easier just to take it one step at a time.
:) but i'm very glad that God has blessed me with friends to redirect me so i may not be "lame." haha.
before my youth director left he wanted us to be held accountable so we can keep up with God.
i will continue to pray twice a day, not retailiate or argue with my parents, read the bible,
[post a blog/DEVOTION-a personal one i added], and pray for my friend. :)
Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Please help me to continue with my accountability, bless our church with a great youth director who can continue to guide is in your ways. We have 18 applicants so far and i trust you will guide the choice of our pastor and committee. I pray for my family, friends, and those who have not been blessed to know you. I thank you so much Lord for everything you have given me.
Love Always,
Elissa Richard <33
Introduction. :]
and tomorrow i will post a blog about my relationship
with God, and how my walk with him is going. :) this is
a good idea- since i'm always on the computer- that i
borrowed from chris. :) and i'm glad he encouraged me
to do this. well, i'll officially start tomorrow.
